Nigerian rapper Phyno has officially released his new album, LET THAT SINK IN, giving fans a fresh collection of music and another major chapter in his career.
Released on Friday, October 30, 2026, the 15-track project features collaborations with several notable Nigerian artists, including Wande Coal, Fireboy DML, Seyi Vibez and Jeriq.
The album marks an important return for the rapper, whose last major solo album was The Playmaker. Its release has generated conversation among Nigerian music fans, particularly because of the variety of artists featured on the project.
A NEW CHAPTER FOR PHYNO
Phyno, known for his distinctive indigenous rap style and ability to combine Igbo expressions with contemporary hip-hop production, has remained an influential voice in Nigerian music.
With LET THAT SINK IN, he brings his established sound into conversation with a newer generation of performers while retaining the musical identity that made him popular.
One of the highlighted collaborations is “Ndewo” featuring Wande Coal. The song combines Phyno's indigenous rap delivery with Wande Coal's melodic vocals, creating an interesting meeting of two different musical approaches.
SEVEN ARTISTS FEATURE ON THE PROJECT
The album includes seven guest artists, adding different musical influences to its 15-track arrangement.
Among the featured names are:
Wande Coal
Fireboy DML
Seyi Vibez
Jeriq
The collaborations bring together Afrobeats, indigenous hip-hop, street-pop and melodic sounds.
Interestingly, the album has also attracted attention because Phyno's previously anticipated collaboration with Flavour, “Uzo Ano”, does not appear on the final tracklist.
WHY THE ALBUM MATTERS
Phyno has built a career around maintaining a recognisable musical identity while collaborating with artists from different backgrounds.
His latest album offers an opportunity to examine how Nigerian hip-hop continues to evolve and how established performers are connecting with newer audiences.
The project also arrives at a time when the Nigerian music industry is preparing for the end-of-year release and entertainment season.
INSTACOOL VERDICT
LET THAT SINK IN is a significant release for fans of Nigerian hip-hop and Afrobeats.
The combination of established collaborators and newer voices gives the project an interesting appeal.
The real test, however, will be how listeners respond to the full album and which songs eventually become fan favourites.
