Most of us don't need a full morning routine overhaul — we need fewer decisions to make before 9am. Start by laying out tomorrow's outfit tonight; it removes one decision before your brain is even awake. Next, keep your phone off the nightstand and use an actual alarm clock instead — the five extra minutes you'd spend scrolling add up to real stress. A glass of water before coffee helps more than people expect, especially if you tend to wake up groggy. If breakfast is usually skipped, prep something grab-and-go the night before rather than deciding in the moment. Finally, resist checking email or Slack until you've been up for at least 20 minutes — reacting to other people's priorities before you've set your own tends to derail the whole day. None of these require willpower or extra time; they just remove friction. Try picking one and sticking with it for a week before adding another.
